Yay! Another Concert!!

I am going to DIE if I don't go to bed right now, but before I do I just have to say that my husband and I won tickets to the Martina McBride concert tomorrow night (tonight?). I am totally excited. We saw them a year ago with my good friend Cheryl and her husband, and I am excited to get to go see her again - for free! Last time we paid $70 each for floor seats. This time it is outdoors, so it is lawn seats. I have never been to a concert like that so I will make sure to get there early so I can get good seats. So I am going to bed and I will be back tomorrow night with pics! Yay!
PS. Robyn and Joe rock cause they are going to watch my kids for me tomorrow night.I bet that will be fun with 2 month old, Henry. :)

American Idol - #2

Ok, it was being retarded and wouldn't let me add the pics I wanted where I wanted with the writing where I wanted it, so I am going to add the other pics here.

My seat ticket for the Energy Solutions Arena.

Waiting outside Tuesday morning.

Waiting in line in the arena to audition.

Ryan Seacrest

American Idol - #1

Ok. I still haven't quite figured out how to put the pics and writing on her like I want, so bear with me. Here are what the pics are:

#1: Setting up for auditions #2: People lining up to audition #3: Me auditioning #4: My wristband #5 The arena after they seated everyone #6 The American Idol logo on the ceiling screen

Ok. So tons of people have asked about how American Idol went, and I have been lame about answering cause, well, it gets old typing the same thing over and over again. Not to mention answering all the people that call or I see in person. So I am finally getting on here to post about it. Here is how my week as gone:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On Saturday the 26th, I took the kids to my ex husbands parents house to spend the night, and went to at Iggy's and then to see Get Smart (hilarious!). We were out late and got home a little after 12. I layed down for a while and realized that there was no way that I was going to be able to sleep, so at 1 I got up and showered and started getting ready to goAt 3am we left to go to Salt Lake to get our wristbands, and we got there at 4 and were there til 7:30, which was a lot faster than I thought it would be, but we were also in the second group of people. It wasn't really a line, it was more like large groups of people separated by yellow tape.
Anyway, I met 4 boys (Justin, Sean, Jeff and Jacob) that were about 22, and we hung out and talked all morning. They were hilarious and I had a blast with them. When it was time to get wristbands and seat tickets, we all registered together so we could sit together on Tuesday. Then we left and went and got the kids, so we could go to church at 11. When we got home, I had not slept in 2 days at that point. We came home and had lunch and crashed. Then got up, fed the kids, then crashed again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I spent Monday sleeping in and then getting my hair done (hate it) and once again didn't get any sleep. I went to bed at 10 and I think I slept for an hour between then and 1:30 am when I got up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tues. I got up, did my hair, got ready and left the house at 3am so we could get back to the Arena by 4am again. While in line I met several awesome people that I talked with all morning, including my new friend Jade Alibi.(She is awesome! Check her out on myspace and listen to her!) We waited outside in line til 8. This time I was in the front of the first group of people in line. We did things like shoot the intro for the tv show EXTRA! (Extra, Extra! We love American idol!) and did a bunch of other FOX promo shots. We also got to see Justin Guarinni (sp?) (from the first season) who was there doing interviews and saying hi to everyone. Then finally at 8am they let us in. John and I went inside and we were in the first section of seats. They had us learn 2 songs before we came (Ain't No Mountain High Enough by Marvin Gaye and Get Ready by The Temptations) and those are their theme songs for this season. They had everyone in the arena singing those while they taped them and did crowd shots.Anyway, after wasting a couple hours doing promo crap, they finally started letting people go down to the floor to start auditioning and I was in the first section. By that time, my boys were there sitting with me, so I kissed John bye and we (me and the boys) went and got in line. I had fun in line and enjoyed talking to all the people around me. I was probably in line for about an hour, then they said they were taking a break from auditions. I was like great, cause that doesn't meant that we got a break. We still had to stand there in line. Then they brought in Ryan Seacrest. Then they did the shots where they had people screaming "Welcome to Salt Lake City" and everyone screaming and stuff. What cracked me up is the retards had some people scream "Welcome to Happy Valley". For those of you not from here, the reason that was so retarded was that we were in Salt Lake which is of course in Salt Lake County, and Happy Valley is another name for Utah County, which is where I live. Duh! Someone should have pointed that out to them. I guess I will see if they air that or not when the show starts airing.
After that they started up the auditions again, and actually the line went really fast. Faster then I expected, then I was like Oh my heck! We're the front of the line! They had us in line 4 people across, so I was with Justin and Jeff and then a girl I didn't know. The guy directing the people in line sent us to table 3. We waited through 2 rows of people in front of us, then it was our turn. Now I don't think I have ever sang in an environment as impersonal as the AI auditions. It is 2 producers sitting behind a card table and there are black curtains between the tables (see my pics) and then the 4 of you line up in front of them. Then one at a time, you each get to sing - for 30 seconds! Then all 4 of you go up to the table and they tell you if you made it or not. They told me that I had a great voice and sounded really good, but wasn't what they were looking for. I was ok with that cause I know I sounded good and did an awesome job. If I wasn't what they were looking for, that was ok with me. I didn't think I was, I just didn't want to pass up the opportunity since this was the last year I could audition. My cousin, who also auditioned, said that they told him that they were looking for something really specific this year, and he wasn't it. Of course, they weren't telling anyone what that something was.I heard tons of amazing singers that didn't make it. In fact I only saw them let through 1 or 2 girls. Out of all the thousands there, I think they were only letting through about 250 people. Then of course they have to let the retards through to make things interesting. Like the girl that was a ventriloquist with her singing grandma puppet (so freaking lame!) and the guy in the hawaiian shirt that was old enough to be my dad that they let through cause he "wrote a song for Paula and I'm here to sing it to her". Um yeah, Paula's not even here. That's right people, those auditions that you see on tv when they air the show? They won't even be held for another month and a half to 2 months. Then Hollywood week is in November.
Anyway, I had a ton of fun, took a bunch of pics, and met a lot of great people. I am so glad that I had the guts to do it! I feel like it will add to my confidence. After all, I sang in front of FOX producers, in a room full of thousands of strangers, and was told that I had a great voice. :)

My next mission: Going and singing karaoke with my other singer friends and another singing gig the end of August.

My Weekly To Do's

Ok, so I haven't posted for a few days. I am going to try and put dashes between the paragraphs because I can't get this to let me put spaces between them and all my posts end up looking like one huge rambling instead of individual subjects.
Here's what I have been up to:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Going to the gym and working my butt off. It has been working and I have lost weight. That doesn't mean I am enjoying it. Well I enjoy it most of the time (they have a cardio cinema where you can use all the ellipticals and bikes and treadmills while watching a movie, it's just like a movie theatre without the seats) but today I was bored cause John had a doctor appointment so I had to go alone. It is way more boring without someone to talk to.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Worked out with my personal trainer. Actually I worked out with a couple cause they messed up my schedule, but that's ok. I like how if I am bored and don't know what I want to do, I can go up to them and one of them will come work me out for free if they aren't doing anything. All the trainers I have worked with are awesome and I love their manager. She is hilarious and I think we will end up being friends.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Went to my vocal lesson and picked out and worked on my my audition piece and worked on getting ready for Saturday night. Sat. is the gig where I will be singing in front of about 70+ people. It is the first non-church solo I have done in 16 years. Yes, that means I was 12 the last time I did it. It is also my first solo performance in 3 years.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Watched a couple movies with John. We watch a lot of movies cause it is an easy date with 6 kids and you can get all those redbox codes online for free so it is also a free date. Yay! In the last couple weeks we have watched : Jumper, Vantage Point, Drillbit Taylor, Step Up 2 (I am a total sucker for all dance movies!), Once Missed Phone Call.
Tonight my husband rented College Road Trip and Shutter. I am totally horrified that he rented Shutter. I guess he overheard me talking to my mom about it on the phone and thought it was something I wanted to see, so I give him props for trying, but I was telling her how I totally do not want to see it and it looks way to scary and I am a total weenie about scary movies. I am talking watching scrunched up in a ball with my ears plugged, can't hardly go to bed or have the light off weenie. Not. Kidding. So I called the redbox people and told them that he rented it by mistake and they were totally nice and she gave us a new free rental code so that we could go get something else. Yay!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And here's what I still have to do this week:
1. Finish laundry.
2.Figure out what I am going to wear tomorrow night.
3. Clean the house cause the weekend is deep cleaning time.
4. Possibly leave the house and do something cause I am going to go crazy sitting in the house all the time.
5. Work on my audition piece (and 2 backups) cause I just found out for the initial audition you only get about 30 seconds. I knew I would have a limited time, but I thought I would have time for a verse and a chorus. Now I have to totally rethink what part of it I am going to do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
K I have to go finish dinner since it is after 8. Then it is movie night without kids. Yay!

Austin's 8th Birthday

Ok, so I have been a slacker about blogging Austin's birthday. Not that I didn't want to, just that I am lazy about loading pics on here cause it is a pain with my camera, but I thought it would be lame to blog about it without it. So here we go:

Austin turned 8 on July 10th. We had Robyn and Henry over (Joe had to work) along with my ex in laws and their daughter. The kids had a blast having them over and it was nice seeing them.
Here is the cake I made. I got the dump trucks and then used brown sprinkles as dirt. The only bad thing was that it was really hot and my writing melted. Next time I know to wait til before I serve it so it doesn't do that. The th on 8th just looks like a big blob.

Here is the birthday boy waiting to open all his presents. He got some fun stuff like a cool race track, cars, books, a couple movies, new shoes, a slinky, those little capsules that you put in water and they turn into sponge dinosaurs, and some other cool stuff.

Here he is showing off the cool race track from Aunt Robyn and Uncle Joe.

Here are all the kids piled in with Grandpa Dave (right) Grandma Sandy (left) and Jessica (middle) and Robyn and Henry in the background.

Yeah I Know I Am A Slacker

OK. I have totally been lame about blogging and I totally should be blogging Austin's b-day that was on the 10th, but it is so late and I have to get up early so that will have to wait til tomorrow. The next couple weeks are going to be a little psychotic and I have a lot to do and a lot to catch up on around here.
Here is a little of what I have going on this week:
1. Go to the gym at least 4 times this week and work out every day at home
2. Meet with personal trainer on Tuesday
3. Get a Utah driver's license (yeah I know, I've only been here 9 months)
4. Go to my vocal session Wed. and finalize my audition pieces (1 main, with 2 back-ups)
5. Take Hailey to Achievement Days on Wed.
6. Take Tyler and Austin to scouts on Thurs. (yay! It's Austin's first time!)
7. Practice my audition pieces til I can do them in my sleep
8. Go to the Herriman Splash Pad sometime this week with Robyn, Marissa and Melissa (sister and 2 cousins in law)
9. Beg and bribe Robyn to babysit for me on wristband and audition day the end of this month.
10. Perform at the gig with Kait's band on Sat. night and try not to die since this is my first public performance in almost 4 years.
11. Just keep telling myself if I freak out, it will be in front of a bunch of people I don't know and probably won't see them again. And it definitely won't be broadcast on national TV, unlike upcoming audition. (gulp)
12. Go hyperventilate into a paper bag - OK that is not for this week, I may be doing that one tonight after I finish typing this.
Yeah, and I didn't include in that all the housework, laundry, cooking, parenting, etc. that I have to do all day on top of that.
In other random tangents, my ward was split on Sunday. They took my ward (so huge that each primary class has 2 or 3 classes for each age and 3 nurseries) and a neighboring ward, and made another ward. So now we are the 1st ward. I am excited about that for 2 reasons:
1. The 2nd ward boundaries are so huge that it will be split many times in the years to come and I'm glad I don't have to go through that.
2. Most of the people I know in my ward live on my street and I think ALL of them are still in my ward. I am happy that our ward is set and won't be split again and we can all just settle in and get to know each other. Very happy. I love, love, LOVE the ward I am in and so does my family!!!
Hmmm, what else. I feel like I have to write more to make up for my slackerness (is that a word? well it is now) and make this longer. So what shall we talk about. . . .
I have been working my butt off at the gym - literally. In the last week I have lost 6 lbs. Yay for me! Only 90 to go. Well that is my goal weight anyway. I don't know that I will actually get to that since that will put me at my pre-children weight and it has been 9 years since I have seen that weight. But I am determined to get as close to it as humanly possible. I am excited to meet with my personal trainer tomorrow. I love working out, but I have a hard time getting off my butt to actually do it, so it is nice to have him there to tell me what to do. I have no problem doing it, just getting to the doing part. I have John on my case at home though. Told him since he is home all the time and doesn't have anything to do, it is his job to make sure that I make it to the gym and work out at home every day, no matter what I say. I think he is a little drunk with power now, since he was barking counts at me and telling me not to stop when I was working out earlier, so we shall see how that goes. ;)
OK. I tried to make this longer, but I am lame and I also have to get up in 6 hours. So I better get to bed so my trainer can whip me into shape tomorrow. Yay!

Let's Get Up to Speed

Ok. So now that I am done writing about all the stuff I did this weekend, I can get into everything else.
I finally got a new phone. I have had a pink razr for like 3 years, and I was ready for something new. Well we switched to t-mobile in October (BIG mistake!! They have the crappiest service EVER and they screwed up our account on EVERY bill!) and we switched back to Cingular or AT&T, whatever they are called. So I got to get a new phone, and I got a Blackberry Curve. The only con is that it is a red one and I don't like red. But it is a refurbished one, so I got it for $1. They said that when they get in a titanium one in, then I can come and trade it. John said that I could take it to someone that airbrushes phones, so I am thinking I might just do that. If I am going to paint it, then it doesn't matter what color it is underneath. I am thinking bright (but not neon) pink with sparkles. There is a pastel pink Blackberry Pearl, but it isn't carried by Cingular and it is a pearl, so it doesn't have a full keyboard, which is a must. I will definitely put pictures on here if I get it done. In the mean time, I am loving it. It is a little hard to learn to use cause it is totally different from any phone I have had before, but I can definitely text WAY faster with a full keyboard. Yay! I think I text more than I do anything else.
Also, last Thursday, John and I joined Gold's Gym. I am SUPER excited!! Not just because John joined with me, but also because in Utah they have free babysitting I can use for an hour and a half. That's right, I said FREE!! So not only does that mean that John and I can work out together, it also means that when he goes back to work I will still be able to go cause I won't have to find a babysitter. I love the idea that we can spend 90 min. together without kids up to days a week (they are closed Sundays, not that I would go if they weren't). The kids love going there and they have fun crafts and stuff for them to do. Even Amelia loved going and I have had no problem leaving her there. Just walked off like whatever, see ya later. (What is up with that? She acts like I am killing her if I take her to nursery, so John has to take her!) I am SO excited I can't even find words! So today we went and met with a personal trainer. I had a blast and totally loved her. I can't have her be my trainer, cause she is the manger. So she is going to get me one of her trainers that is full of energy and not boring. Cause the personal trainer I had in CA didn't work out for me cause he was totally low energy and I felt like he was just sitting there bored out of his mind waiting for me to move on to the next thing. Totally not motivating. Anyway, I can't wait to go tomorrow. I can only afford to meet with a trainer once a week, but eventually my goal is 4 times a week cause I really enjoy working with a trainer a lot more than on my own. The good thing is that the trainers come up with a plan of what you are supposed to do, so on my days where I am not meeting with her I can go get my folder from behind the desk and it will tell me what to do. I also like that my workouts will be different every day, cause I get bored easily and that is one of the things that makes it hard for me to work out.

Great. My husband just texted me from the ER. He is there cause he slammed his hand into the wall and thought it was broken cause it was swollen and it hurt so bad. So they said it is broken and that they are going to splint it and then he will have to follow up with an ortho and get it set in a cast. Good going. I am not even going to go into how it happened, because it was so retarded. I can't believe it is actually broken. And here I was the jerk wife that just thought he was being a baby and that he had just banged it really bad. Well I guess I will have to make that up to him when he gets home. :)

The Rest of My Holiday Weekend.

Alrighty, I have been slacking with finishing my blogging about the weekend, so here are my pics from Saturday. First things on Saturday, we went to Scera Park in Orem where they had something called Ellis Island in the Park. They had a really neat (and free!) thing set up at the park where you could experience immigrating to the US. We got our passports and immigration packages, and then made our way over to a field where they had flags staked out in the shape of a huge star. Along the star, at every point and corner, they had the 10 citizenship commitments. You had to read them and agree to them, and then initial them in your little passport. The 10 commitments are:
1. Are you willing to fight for liberty?
2. Do you understand and agree that you have certain God-given rights and that government's only legitimate function is to help you protect those rights?
3. Are you willing to risk your security in order to insure your liberty?
4. Do you accept the Declaration of Independence as our foundation for good government?
5. Are you willing to voluntarily support our military in causes that are under the Constitutional authority of the United States of America?
6. Are you willing to have hope in America, even when all looks lost?
7. Are you willing to pray for America?
8. Are you willing to accept the United States Constitution of 1787 as lawfully amended as the supreme law of the land?
9. Are you willing to udnerstand and fight to preserve our natural, God-given rights?
10. Are you willing to pledge to pledge your allegiance to the United States of America?
We went to each commitment and I read the little paragraph to the kids about them and we talked about what they meant and then initialed our passports. After that, we had to take a citizenship test. There were 10 different tests and each one had 10 different questions on them. Here is a sample of one of the tests. How many can you answer?
1. Which President is called "the Father of Our Country"?
2. What Immigration and Naturalization Service form is used to apply for naturalized citizenship?
3. Who helped the pilgrims in America?
4. What is the name of the ship that brought the pilgrims to America?
5. What were the 13 original states of the United States called?
6. Name 3 rights or freedoms guaranteed by the Bill of Rights.
7. Who has the power to declare war?
8. What kind of government does the United States have?
9. Which President freed the slaves?
10. In what year was the Constitution written?
The kids got easier tests (questions about the flag and number of states and things like that). They did good and we all got 100%. Well John and I basically did Brooklyn and Camren's, but they can't write so whatever. I just wanted them to participate.
After getting our tests graded, we had to go to the next booth, where we had to hold up our right hand and take the oath of Citizenship. Here is what it says:
I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and anjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potenate, state or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enimies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forced of the United States when requirred by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by law; and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God. In acknowledgement whereof I have hereunto affixed my signature.
After that we all got certificates saying that we are now citizens of the United States. The kids also got stickers and little flags. We had a good time, learned a lot of things that we didn't know before, and it was a great experience. It was their first time doing it, and they are planning to make it a yearly activity. I plan on going again.
After that, we got lunch and headed back to Provo for the Freedom Fest. I wanted to get over to the Colonial Colony that they had set up on Center St. a few blocks further than the booths we had gone to the day before. We had fun. They had a huge replica of the Mayflower, stocks (the kind they lock you up in when you get in trouble), candle making, broom making, iron working, and all other kinds of things. All the people there were dressed in period clothes. In the museum, they even had a bunch of church history stuff, like bank notes from the bank that was established by Joseph Smith, an original copy of the Book of Mormon, and a replica of the printing press that was used to print the first copies of the Book of Mormon. It was so neat to see that stuff and be able to show it to my kids. It also had things like, original framed signatures of Benjamin Franklin, Martha Washington and a bunch of other historical people, that were on loan for display. The kids loved seeing how they used to do stuff back in the old days and were SHOCKED to find out that people dressed like that every day and they didn't have jeans and t-shirts. lol!! It was really neat and I am glad we got to go. Now enjoy some pictures!

Here is a picture of the kids with their stickers and flags after becoming true American Citizens.

The kids gathered around checking out the stuff the men used to carry around in their bags when traveling.

More Cute 4th of July Pics

Here are some more cute pics of the older kids (minus Amelia) with their face paint.
Tyler

Hailey

Austin

Camren

Brooklyn

Yep, they are the cutest kids ever and they are all mine! Ok, I do share them with John, but I still say they are all mine!! :)

Amelia Pics

I just wanted to put some of my favorite Amelia pics on here. She is so photogenic and probably my favorite one to photograph because she is also the most cooperative. She is getting so big and will be 3 in 2 months! Enjoy!

Hanging out on the lawn at Thanksgiving Point.

4th of July

We had a fun 4th of July. There was lots to do, so I am glad that the activities extend into Saturday so I can get them all in! Here is a little bit of what we did:
First we went to Freedom Fest in Provo. We went and saw a musical performance about the Constitution in the old Provo Tabernacle. It was great! The music and costumes were amazing!
Then we went and walked all the little street booths and I let the kids get their faces painted.

Tyler, Austin and Hailey showing off their new face paint.

Amelia, Brooklyn and Camren showing off their painted faces.

After that, we went and got dinner and headed over to Thanksgiving Point for fireworks. The kids had fun running around and making new friends all around us. My husband and I even made some new friends that live near us and had kids the same ages as Camren, Brooklyn and Amelia. We exchanged numbers so we can get together and play again. The fireworks were great and we enjoyed hanging out together. I took about a zillion pictures, but I didn't want to put them all on here. Can't wait to scrapbook them though!

John and his girls.

Me and my boys.

I can't wait for the fun stuff tomorrow (or I guess it is today now). We have a lot of fun stuff planned and I will tell you all about it tomorrow. Complete with pictures, now that I have my cord! Yay! :)

Camren turns 6!

Ok. My husband finally found the cord for the camera. It was in the laundry room. Of course, because that is where it goes, right? So I will now do a post about Camren's birthday, which was the 1st. I can't believe that he is now 6!! Next month he starts 1st grade!

Here is the birthday boy waiting to open presents. He got some great stuff like new shoes, some airplane stencils and a hula hoop. He had fun visiting with his Aunt Robyn and cousin Henry, and Lily (Robyn's niece from Joe's side of the family). Grandma Sandy (my ex's mom) came too. The kids had a blast playing, but of course, their favorite part was the cake.

The cake was great. Chocolate with cherry filling. Camren had a Spongebob birthday, so of course he got an awesome cake that had a bendy Spongebob on top to play with later. Fun!

Here are all the kids (along with Robyn and Henry - far left, and Lily - far right) enjoying their cake. They had a great time and so did I.

Random Stuff That Has Nothing To Do With Each Other

Ok. So I met with my vocal coach and we picked some tentative songs for me to work on as audition pieces. I want to have one main song, with 2 back ups. I am still not happy with the choice, but it is a song that is a total money song for me. I just was hoping for something with a little more pop, but then again I guess I would need to sing a pop song for that and that is not my forte. Not that I can't do it, just that it is not my vocal style. So I am going to keep searching for something that may jump out to me more, but at least I have something to work on if I don't. I downloaded a bunch of karaoke songs today to add to my library, so we will see if any of them speak to me once I get them on my ipod and work on them.
We had Camren's birthday last night. It was nice. Robyn came over with baby Henry and her niece (on Joe's side) who is 6. The kids had a blast with her this weekend when we were all together for Henry's blessing down in Provo, so they were excited to have her here. Sandy (my ex mother in law whom I LOVE to death) also came. The rest of her family had other stuff they had to be to, so it was just her, but I was really glad she came and so were the kids. Camren enjoyed his cake. He had a Sponge Bob birthday. I loved the cake cause I got chocolate with the cherry filling and the butter cream frosting - a favorite around here. I have lots of pics, but I can't find the cord to my camera. Again. Of course. So I have tons of pics on there of the kids and stuff, but I can't post them on here. So since I don't have anything tomorrow (other than Tyler having scouts, but that is down the street) I will have to tear the house apart looking for the cord. Actually, knowing my special kids, I will be tearing the garage apart. We still have a bunch of stuff in the garage that we haven't unpacked (hey we have only been here a month) and for some reason my kids think that "clean up, we have company coming over" really means "find an empty moving box and throw a bunch of stuff in it and put it in the garage. Um, ok. So now among the boxes that I packed, I have random open boxes with things like coloring books, laundry, pieces of toys, etc. just shoved in the garage. Yipee. I am sure one of them has my cord in it, cause John and I already searched the house. So yay, that is my plan for tomorrow.
One thing I am excited about is that my elliptical is finally in the house. It has been in the garage cause it is going to ideally be in the basement when it is finished. Since that will still be for a while, and I need to use it, we found a home for it in the family room. I don't particularly like it there. I think it looks trashy to have a big piece of work out equipment in your family room (no offense if you have one. that is my opinion in my own house.) but it is better than not being able to use it and it is not permanent. Just til I get the office finished and there is not all this dust down there from sanding. Anyway, I am glad to be able to add that to my workout and then I can not feel guilty when I am watching tv, cause I will be being productive. :)
Speaking of tv, here are the things that I have recording on my dvr on a regular basis: So You Think You Can Dance, America's Best Dance Crew, Nashville Star (my next stop after I don't make it on AI), In Plain Sight, and any Law and Order I might not be home for. Of course. Law and Order is my most favorite show on the planet. I like all versions of it and watch them all. I could give up everything else as long as I can watch that.
Totally random switch of topic here, but I totally have to get off of Diet Coke. I could have named this blog guess how many gallons of coke I drank today, but I decided it wasn't as snappy of a title. I know that it is probably what is contributing to my weight (even though it is diet, there have been studies that say drinking soda will make you eat more and I think they are true). Also, it is bad for my voice. I can't drink it before I sing or it makes me sound like crap. But it is so hard. I swear that stuff is liquid crack. I literally go into withdrawal without it. Today I drank about 64 oz., which doesn't sound too bad, until you realize that I drank that all tonight. In about 2 hours or less. Yeah. So I am a total Diet Coke fiend and I need to get away from it now!! So I have got some different water flavor packets. You know, the crystal light and south beach diet ones, that have the little tube packets of powder and you pour them in your water bottle. So we will see if I can make the switch. The have almost no calories, and the south beach ones have fiber in them and are supposed to stave off hunger so you don't eat between meals. We will see how that works. The crystal light ones are energy ones, which I could always use more of. They do have caffeine in them, but far less than diet coke, so maybe that will help ease the transition.
Ok, so this novel - I mean post - ended up being way longer than I meant it to be. So I will be back tomorrow. Hopefully with a camera cord and pictures!
